If you are an AudioBookOne.net Affiliate and want to know how to sell more audio books (and earn more sales commissions) using Twitter, then here’s a simple and easy to implement 5-step system I have been using with surprisingly good results:

Step 1: Get a Twitter account (if you don’t already have one).

Registering for an account with Twitter is free and takes only a minute or so to set up.

Step 2: Set Up An Automated System For Your Promotional Tweets

Read the blog post below, which explains how to set up a simple Twitter automation system for FREE:

Once you have read the blog post above and set up your free Social Oomph account to automate and schedule your tweets, then go to the next step.

Step 3: Visit our main audiobook store at www.audiobookone.net and pick the titles you want to promote.

Once you select the audio book titles you want to promote, simply append your affiliate ID to the end of the audio book destination page URL (you must do this to ensure you get paid affiliate commissions for your referrals!).

Here’s how you do it:

Let’s say that you want to promote a “Learn to speak italian” audio product as an affiliate. (If you’re not an affiliate click here)

After visiting www.AudioBookOne.net and browsing through the site, you see that the URL for the audio book you want to promote is as shown below …

http://www.audiobookone.net/title.aspx?titleId=7287

And let’s say that your affiliate ID is 335757

To turn the destination URL for the audio book title you want to promote into an affiliate link, add “&aid=335757” (without the quote marks) to the end of the URL, so that the complete link now looks like this:

http://www.audiobookone.net/title.aspx?titleId=7287&aid=335757

Our tracking system will automatically recognize all sales made using the above link as belonging to the affiliate member whose affiliate ID is 335757 and pay that person their respective sales commissions.

Step 4: Shorten your URLs for Twitter.

Okay … now that you have the basic system down, the next step is to shorten your affiliate URL, since the URL would be too big to use as it is and take up most of your twitter message.

You can use any of the more popular URL shortening services available (e.g. tinyurl or bit.ly) to create short URLs, or, there’s a free new service where you can make money using shortened URLs.

Step 5: Schedule new Tweets to be automatically posted each week to your Twitter account.

Set aside 15-30 minutes each week to schedule between 5 – 20 new tweets each week (i.e. 1 to 3 new tweets per day) for automatic posting in your Social Oomph account. For example, here are some of the tweets scheduled for posting / posted on our Twitter account:

Useful Tip: Don’t overdo it. 1-2 tweets per day is more than enough. If you post messages on different topics or personal issues to your Twitter account, then adding one promotional tweet for audio books for every 20 personal tweets or so is fine and it shouldn’t annoy your followers.

As you can see, Twitter is an ideal medium to use for sending out short promotional messages.
